Update

Today we have continued to edit and I would say we are well on our way to meeting our deadline. We now have all the footage we need and today with Michelle's help have transfered the static from Nicole's SD card to the Mac.

For the behind the scenes footage, Nicole has managed to finish the first half and will complete it over the next two day's. I still have to transfer the footage she shot on my phone to my computor and put it on a USB for her to take and finih editing but that shall all be finish by the deadline. Sasha also has to upload a couple of images to Facebook, because they are on her phone too, so Nicole can take them and use them as part of the construction section.

Nicole needs to take a couple of outtakes we have, which are currently on the Mac and put them into Final Cut Pro in a seperate document to the actual trailer. She is then going to make it into a rendered movie so she can take it home and use it in our 'Behind The Scenes' video.

Overall at the moment we feel we are on course to finish in time.

Poster Draft 4

Since the last draft of the poster Sasha has added in the times of the screening in the sixth form area.We are now going to swap a few of the posters already up in the sixth form for this one. So people know the timings of the screenings.

Editing

For the editing of the trailer we are:
-Adding tints of colour, so it matches the colour scheme of the trailer
-Putting the clips together and editing the lenghts of them
-Putting the sound track in - and matching up the tracks with the clips
-Desaturising the frames
-We used flop- which flips images around

Editing of the 'Behind the scenes':
-We have been watching the clips and finding the funny bits to put together
-Interviewing people and cutting them down
-Adding a sound track

Update

Today we will continue to edit as a group and embed the static. I will also continue to edit the behind the scenes footage when I get home. Lydia still needs to upload the footage from her camera and send it to me so I can finish editing, however she shall be doing this tonight.

Sets - The Well

For the well we used bricks to build it as we couldn't find a ready built one to use. It's quite small but the angles we have used make it look bigger in the film.

Feedback

  • The poster is good and you can see all the text from a distance. This means people can see what the poster says without having to go out of their way to see or read it.
  • The white on black is a nice contrast.

Poster - Third Draft

We have changed the box shape to an oval so that it wraps around the text better. I think this looks better as the box does not span the width of the page now.

Feedback

  • The boxes are a lot less obvious and that makes the poster look better over all.
  • Try using an oval shape rather than squares so that it feathers better around the edges.

Poster - Draft 2

Nicole went back and feathered the boxes behind the writing so that it still stands out but the boxes aren't as potent.

Feedback

  • The image is really nice and the editing is great especially when you look at how bright the original image is.
  • You don't usually see boxes on a poster. Experiment with them so that they are less 'In your face' or get rid of them.

The Poster - First Draft

This is our first draft of the poster that will adverstise our trailer.

Sunday Filming

Location For Sunday's Filming

On Sunday the 30th of June we will be filming at Pearces Farm, Easthampstead Rd, Wokingham. We will be filming the scenes containing the well and the barn scenes. We feel that this would be a perfect place to film as there is a lot of open land, trees and a large barn that would be great for a couple of the frames. Although there is not a well there currently the owners have said we are allowed to build a simple one from bricks and stones on one of the fields.

Possible Sets

There are various sets used throughout the trailer and in order to pick the best places to film we have all taken pictures of places that could be used as sets and will choose together which places we feel would best re-create the scenes from the trailer.
